Some love stories are written in books, ours feels like it was written in the stars.
From the moment I saw Yenny, the beautiful, tattooed girl with a quiet mystery around her, I felt drawn to her. I never imagined that one day my own brother would, unbeknownst to me, play cupid. We were both working on an event, she was the professional chef, I was the station captain, and somehow, fate (and a very sneaky brother) placed us side by side. We started talking, laughing, and somewhere between conversations about beer and cannibals (don’t ask, I mentioned I was Peruvian), something clicked.
I asked her out for a drink after work. Some interesting things happened (ask her), and that was it, that’s where our story truly began.
Since that night, we’ve been inseparable. We talked constantly, across ten different messaging apps, and I introduced her to nearly everyone in my life right away. It just felt right. We’ve built our relationship on laughter, deep conversations, wild nights out, and quiet mornings in. We’ve traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, and Peru together. We were such regulars at Disneyland, we started to grow mouse ears out of our heads. And through it all, we’ve only grown closer.
Yenny is everything I admire in a person, fiercely intelligent, endlessly driven, grounded, and graceful (when she wants to be). She can plan anything, cook better than most professional chefs (because she is one), and when she sings… let’s just say the Wicked audition tape is on my phone, ready to send whenever she gives the word. She brings magic into my life every day.
I’ve known I loved her from the very beginning. It felt like the universe shifted to bring us together, like this connection was meant to exist no matter what. She's not just the love of my life, she's my best friend, my peace, and my home.
We’re deeply connected to each other’s families and continue to grow, learn, and support each other in everything we do. I truly believe that meeting Yenny changed the course of my life. She makes me better, and life with her feels like a blessing I’ll never take for granted.
I can't wait to finally call her my wife, to celebrate everything she’s worked so hard on, and to throw a party no one will forget.
